Yes, I am showcasing my own website as part of my portfolio. Why? Well, this site is mainly hand coded from the ground up (working from a general idea and running from there); it is programmed in PHP & MySQL with some JavaScript & AJAX integration on the back end. The overall design is pretty simplistic, but it allows the pages to load faster and with less 'clutter' than many other sites out there today. I will be adding more 'Web 2.0' type features to this site as time goes by so that I can showcase various abilities in those areas as well.

A wholesale antique and leather distributor in the rustic Litchfield hills, I used an existing color scheme idea and built a completely dynamic content catalog with it. Every category draws its information from a database and generates the pages on the fly. The site is designed with PHP, MySQL, and CSS (positioning)

Gregorio Pools & Spas ( visit site )
A pool & spa retailer / service provider, their website needed a major overhaul. I took their simplisting - old style look and started updating it to meet more modern needs, including online services and in the future a web store. The web site went through some major changes and is now search engine friendly (with 'Friendly' URLs) with a backend system for editing and adding content. This site makes use of CSS for section placement, MySQL for some backend programming, CGI for certain web forms, PHP for the main body of the site, and .htaccess customization for search engine friendly URLs.
